Like most parents I began traveling with my children by visiting distant relatives, taking them to local attractions and embarking on the occasional trip to a “kid-friendly” resort. After a visit to Florida, I knew I wanted my sons to experience more of the world than the standard theme-park, but where to go?
Enter Frommer’s 500 Places to Take Your Kids Before They Grow Up.
With 500 destinations, attractions, and experiences that are kid-friendly, classic, and sometimes downright kooky, I knew we had a collection of “must-sees” that would form the foundation of my family’s future trips.
With two editions published, there are actually MORE than 500 as some, like the Gateway Arch . . .
made it into the first edition of Frommer’s book, but not the second. And others, like the Hockey Hall of Fame . . .
. . . are new additions to the second edition of the book.
I hope you follow along as our family travels the globe to visit as many on the “500 List” before they grow up.
